Grace for the Seasons You Did Not Plan
The gospel is good news precisely because grace meets people in real life, including the parts that do not follow the plan.
Unexpected seasons can make us feel as though we have fallen behind the life we were meant to have. A closed door, delayed answer, loss, mistake or change of direction can make the future feel smaller.
The Christian story does not begin with human perfection. It begins with God’s initiative, mercy and rescue. Grace therefore speaks to people who need help, not to people who have successfully arranged every part of their lives.
That changes the way we face disruption. We can grieve what is painful without concluding that pain has the final word. We can take responsibility where responsibility is ours without believing that failure makes restoration impossible.
Grace gives us a different starting point. We are not trying to earn our way back into worth. We respond to a love already offered, and from that place we learn to walk forward again.
